EASLIS academic staff undergo training

Academic members of staff from the East African School of Library and Information Sciences (EASLIS) participated in a pedagogy workshop aimed at enhancing their pedagogical knowledge, skills and practices. According to the school’s acting dean, Dr. George Kiyingi, the training was timely especially for the new academic staff members and the old ones who also needed to refresh their pedagogical skills. The training covered aspects on teaching methodologies in higher education, development of course outlines and the different modes of assessment given to the students.

The workshop, held from 16th-17th July, 2011 was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Charles Opolot Okurut and Dr. Betty Ezati from the College of Education and External Studies, Makerere University.
