EASLIS awards its first PhDs

Sarah Birungi Kaddu, Nathaniel Mukungu and Hellen Musanabera are the first students to obtain PhDs from the East African School of Library and Information Science (EASLIS). The trio were awarded PhDs in Information Science during Makerere University’s 62nd graduation ceremony held from 16th to 20th January 2012. A total of 163 graduands from the East African School of Library and Information Sciences (EASLIS) attained diplomas, bachelors, masters and PhDs.

Lydia Winnie Atuhairwe with a CGPA of 4.71 was the best student from EASLIS. Atuhairwe who obtained a Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) currently works at Uganda Martyrs University, Library.
